January/February Empties!

I've been slacking on the blogging - oops. Life gets hectic. I have returned with some products I used up that I would love to review (#notasponsor). Let's dive in!

My first emptied product admittedly took me longer than it should have to empty. It had a SIX month life after opening and it went well past a year (gross and oops). Gosh "click'n'conceal" concealer is actually a very impressive product. Gosh brand is owned by Shoppers Drug Mart. If memory serves me correctly, this product is only $12. It has a feather brush trip and dispenses by clicking the bottom. You have to be careful not to click too much and get a mess on your hands (literally). That being said, the formula was really great and nice on my skin - more fluidy rather than creamy. My only issue with it, other than accidentally clicking too much and wasting product, was the fact that it came in only four shades and I was the darkest shade...yet I'm a mixed person. Unless more shades have been released there aren't enough shades for our diverse world, but if you fit within their spectrum the product is worth it.

Tarte: Rainforest of the Sea foundation has to be one of the BEST foundations I have ever used, and yes I repurchased a bottle already. This foundation is more of a fluid as well and isn't very thick. It's light which is perfect for summer if you're going for a dewy look or winter if you're wearing it over a thick moisturizer, which is the case for me. The bottle uses a dropper to dispense and is quite hydrating. My shade was "sand tan" and as a medium tone person it was a perfect winter shade for me. I absolutely love this foundation and cannot stop raving about it (which is good since it's $51).

Lastly, I emptied L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base primer (what a mouthful). It was introduced to me as one of their best primers and...eh. It's okay. It has a mouse consistency which allows for build up on the skin. If you don't make sure its perfectly blended in, it can clump with your foundation and make a mess. Also the jar makes it hard to get your fingers into, so you need a brush, but the brush doesn't blend as well as your fingers, and if you have long nails now you have primer under your nails which feels gross and is a waste of product. Considering one box is $14 I wouldn't want to waste any. All that said it DOES work very well. It's just not as easily applied as a liquid/fluid from a squeeze tube. I'd give it a 7.5/10. Would recommend but would warn a pal first.

Hope my beauty review was able to shed some light on some great, and not so great, products I tried these past two months!

XOXO,

Cropberry
